For Si.mobil – Vodafone we organised the fourth concert for good causes – the Party with Purpose with DJ Umek took place for the third time on the promenade under Cekinov Manner House in Ljubljana’s Tivoli Park where the DJ played his unique mix, setting those on the promenade into motion. Tivoli Park proved too small for all those lovers of progressive electronic music wishing to dance to DJ Umek and support the charity Beli Obroc as the organiser of this free event, Si.mobil – Vodafone, was fined EUR 10,000. The fourth Party with Purpose was also a technical milestone. Umek played his first set namely on new consoles, made out of only computers and other electronic devices, and was streamed live to Si.mobil’s island in Second Life where virtual revellers could dance and share in the experience. The technical side of this first of its kind project in Slovenia was created by the companies FM Virtual and Futuristicni Marketing (www.futuristing.com). The promotion of this electronic cultural concert was namely aimed at the furthering of solidarity and collection of SMS donations which are this year given to the charity Beli Obroc for the second year running.
