Launch of the Beko Facebook page - from 0 to 16,500 likes in only 5 months

The aim of the Client’s presence on Facebook has been to achieve the most relevant fan base on the previously non-existent Facebook page Beko Slovenia (https://www.facebook.com/BekoSlovenija) in the shortest possible time with the minimum financial input. With the right strategy of launching content and smart moderation, in 5 months we achieved an impressive 16,500 page fans. In the meantime, we also developed a Facebook application with a prize game and a voting system through which users could choose which of the worn-out basketball playgrounds should be renovated within the initiative “Beko Refresh”.

Public broadcasting of the Basketball Championships games in the centre of Ljubljana

During the European Basketball Championship, we substantially took care of publicizing the general sponsor of the Championship – the Beko brand. A great effect was achieved by branding the bridge in the centre of Ljubljana.

The Beko Home pop-up exhibition and entertainment space

During the Basketball euphoria in Slovenia, the Beko Home was a unique space dedicated to cooking, hanging out and having fun, while at the same time being a sophisticated and innovative showroom for the client’s products in the very centre of Ljubljana. Based on the “pop-up” principle, we arranged it in a completely empty space before the beginning of EuroBasket 2013, and closed it by restoring everything to the same condition 30 days later. When designing the space and choosing the materials and equipment, as well as proposing activities and their performers, we followed the character of the brand, while our program proposal allowed visitors to have a genuine direct experience with the brand.

Arrangement of the Beko corner and the implementation of promotions in Shopping centres

For the general sponsor of the basketball event Eurobasket 2013, we arranged attractive Beko corners in seven of the largest shopping centres in Slovenia. For a core activity in the corners, we used a Beko washing machine, which was also an integral part of the augmented reality game on the iPad. The best “basketball players” won a ticket for the game at EuroBasket 2013, while the rest of participants got practical prizes.
